What Makes a Disco Dome Different

A disco dome is fully enclosed. The arched roof and back wall block out daylight, so the LED lighting inside works just as well at two in the afternoon as it does at eight in the evening. That is the main reason parents book one over a standard castle. You are not waiting for sunset to get the effect, and a rainy afternoon in Woodford Green does not ruin the atmosphere.

Inside, colour-changing LEDs run around the walls and roof while the kids bounce. The enclosure also keeps the sound contained, which matters more than people expect when you are setting up in a shared hall or a terraced garden.

Disco Dome or Disco Bouncer: Which One Fits Your Party

These are two different products and it is worth knowing the difference before you book.

The Disco Dome is the enclosed unit described above. Dark inside, full light show, best for evening parties and older kids who want the nightclub feel. It has a narrower footprint than an open castle of the same bounce area, which makes it a good fit for smaller gardens.

The Disco Bouncer and Disco Bounce House are open-fronted castles with disco artwork and lighting. Parents can see in from anywhere in the garden, which is what most people want for younger children. You lose the blackout effect but you gain visibility and easier supervision.

If the party is for under-sevens, the open bouncers are usually the better call. For anyone from about eight upward, the enclosed dome is the one they will remember.

Bring Your Own Playlist

Our disco units pair with a 200W Bluetooth speaker that you can add to any booking. Connect a phone, run whatever playlist the birthday child has been building for a fortnight, and you are set. No CDs, no aux cables, no fighting with someone else's music library.

The speaker is worth adding even if you have your own. Hall acoustics swallow domestic speakers, and a bouncing inflatable is louder than people anticipate.

Indoors, Outdoors, Day or Night

Disco hire works in both settings. For indoor bookings in community centres and church halls across Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Epping Forest, check the ceiling height with your venue before booking, as domes sit taller than a standard castle. Our team will talk you through the clearance you need when you call.

For garden bookings, we need level ground, access to a standard mains socket within reasonable reach, and a clear path to get the unit through. If you are on artificial grass or a hard surface, mention it when you book so we bring the right anchoring.

Does a disco dome work in daylight?

Yes. That is the whole point of the enclosed design. The roof and back wall block daylight so the LED lighting shows properly at any time of day. An open disco bouncer will look better once the light drops.

Can I connect my own music?

Yes. Add the 200W Bluetooth speaker to your booking and pair any phone or tablet to it. There is nothing to install and no cables to find.

Is a disco dome suitable for adults?

Our disco units are built for children and teenagers. If you need something rated for adult weight, look at our adult bouncy castles instead, or call us and we will match you to the right unit for the age group.

Can you set up indoors?

Yes, and disco hire is one of our most popular indoor bookings for halls and community centres. Confirm your venue's ceiling height with them first, as enclosed domes are taller than a standard castle. Call us with the measurement and we will tell you straight away whether it fits.

What do you need on the day?

A reasonably level surface, access to a standard mains socket, and a clear route to bring the unit through. Gate width catches people out more than anything else, so measure your narrowest access point before you book.

How long is the hire?

Standard hire runs up to six hours. Extended and overnight hire is available on many units. Ask when you book and we will confirm what is possible for your date.

What happens if it rains?

Enclosed domes handle light rain better than open castles because the roof covers the bounce area. High wind is the real limit, not rain. We will always speak to you honestly about conditions rather than set up something unsafe.

Are you insured?

Yes, £2 million public liability. Schools, councils and venues can request our certificate and risk assessments before the booking is confirmed.
